When getting dressed for your 9 to 5 (if you aren’t required to wear a uniform) one should not play it safe. I believe when you look good, you feel good. Granted, you’ll have a dress code depending on your place of employment but that shouldn’t stop you from adding your personal style and a bit of your personality into your work attire.
Step away from the solid tops and style an animal print blouse with a solid bottom.
I added metallic pumps because black pumps are so expected with work attire.
I’m all about figuring out your purpose in life and following your passion but dreams don’t work unless you do, so if you have to jump back in the workforce or take side jobs to pay the bills while working on your dreams, there’s nothing wrong with that. Be sure to write your goals and your “why” as to why you’re choosing to go back in the workforce. So when times get tough while on the job (because it will) you’ll have a reason to stick it out.
Dress the way you want to be addressed.
Your 9 to 5 attire should be all about remixing pieces & wearing things differently.
Next time I wear this blouse I’ll wear it with a pair of slacks and the next time I wear this ruffle pencil skirt I’ll style it with a bold color cardigan.
Have fun with fashion. There are no rules when you’re confident!
