Floral Shorts & Book Club Meeting

It’s been a very busy weekend but yet an adventurous one. On Saturday night I joined a group of wonderful women at our annual book club meeting. We all met at Lakeside Mall and rode a charter bus to Baton Rouge, LA. The meeting was held at one of my favorite restaurants Texas de Brazil where we met Zita Scott, the author of a heartwarming book, “Mama, He Touched Me, Now What.” The title is very powerful and the entire story is even more powerful. Experience the heart-warming story of a mother’s struggle to regain her faith in mankind, herself and God after a child is molested. This extraordinary book will prove to be healing for the souls of many. If you would like to purchase the book email the author at zitascott15@gmail.com – $20.00.
On to my ensemble, I wore a yellow camisole underneath a coral blazer I purchased from Langford Market. I paired it with floral shorts from Forever 21 and ankle strap sandals from Just Fab. This was a very fun and girly look that’s perfect for a fun-filled Saturday. A fashion tip to remember and an easy way to style a statement piece is to color block around whatever your statement piece maybe. As I did here, my statement piece is the floral shorts. Have fun with fashion, color block and mix prints all while looking stylish.
