Fashion Risk @ Langford Market Blogger Event!

On last week, Langford Market extended a personal invite to NOLA fashion bloggers to attend their closed-door blogger’s event. If you’re not familiar with Langford Market, it a fashion-forward women’s boutique catering to a 3-generation demographic and it’s located in New Orleans, LA in the French Quarter. We all had a great time discussing our blogs, sipping on cocktails, and eating cupcakes from Kupcake Factory. Langford Market also hosted a Style 101 interactive tutorial on cold weather dressing and how to get the most out of your summer wardrobe by incorporating layers and showing multiple ways to rock your favorite pieces. After the tutorial, we all participated in a style challenge and Juley from Swank Heights was my partner! Check out how we styled our mannequin and make sure you visit the Langford Market Facebook page & vote for us!! At the end of the night, Langford Market invited each of us to take home a favorite piece. The decision was really hard because the boutique carries so many great pieces, but I decided on this fabulous red blazer and it went perfectly with my ensemble for the night!
I was inspired to mix prints after reading Jonet’s blog, Utterly-Chic! Houndstooth and Leopard are my favorite prints, so when I saw this post, I immediately fell in love with the idea of wearing them together. It’s a major fashion risk but I enjoy taking a risk in life and with fashion, therefore, I wore the prints together and felt fabulous!
I forgot my camera,;-( so I borrowed some pictures from my girl Rachel over at Studio Swag and a few were taken with my cellphone.

  1. I love the pattern mixing with red blazer. Animal prints have turned to be like neutrals these days…goes with anything. You look amazing! Love the way you both styled the pieces on the mannequin too. Very creative!!
